Quick question: What do role-playing gamers, anime fanboys, goths, pagans, comic book fans, Magic: The Gathering collector/players, Pokemon fans, and SubGenii all have in common? If you said, "They're all dweebs, losers, and geeks!" then…you're RIGHT! But that's not all they have in common. They're also the targets of Dork Tower, a dead-on spoof, take-off, parody, and mocking of the whole role-playing "outcast loser" field that hits its mark every month. (Well, he hasn't taken on the Church of the SubGenius yet, but we're working on that.) John Kovalic, the creator of Dork Tower, is one who's been there, and he follows the golden rule of Tex Avery that you must love what you parody. He speaks from experience, and if you have any experience at all with gamers ("Hey, let's go through the Tomb of Horrors!"), then you know that gaming and its many outgrowths deserve a good mocking. Kovalic also make a point of encouraging his fans and readers to support your local gaming store – before it's too late!
