YouTube: Hot Fudge Awesome Sauce

This hot fudge sauce only takes a few minutes to make, which is all we want to do in the hot summer months. Then again, a hot fudge sauce like this would certainly be welcome in the middle of winter as well.

Freeze the chocolate in your freezer in advance. This will allow the chocolate to be broken into pieces.

Break up chocolate into pieces. Be prepared to use half the chocolate at first, and save the rest for after the sauce has boiled.

In a medium, heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa, salt, and half of the chocolate. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly to keep from burning, until the chocolate pieces are completely melted.

Reduce heat to low and cook at a low boil, stirring occasionally, for about five minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and add in butter, vanilla, and remaining chocolate and stirring until smooth. Allow the sauce to cool down before serving.
