Point Break

This is probably the only movie where Patrick Swayze DOESN'T look like a total douche bag.

The premise is that a bunch of surfers in Ex-President masks (thus being called "The Ex-Presidents" ) get a reputation as the greatest bank robbers ever. Thus logically, the only two people in the FBI who can stop them is an old burned-out agent (Gary Busey) and an ex-college football star turned undercover agent named Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves).

Once the two agents figure out that the Ex-Presidents are surfers, Keanu Reeves poses as a surfer (Gee, what a stretch) and runs into Swayze (playing a Zen thrill-seeker named Bodhi) and his krew.

After mistaking some Surf Nazis for the robbers (keep an eye open for Red Hot Chili Pepper lead, Anthony Kiedis), Keenu figures out that his new buddies are the real bank-robbers, and now he's got to play along to catch them.

The coolest thing about this movie is that everybody's doing (most) of their own stunts; when they're surfing, that's Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves surfing, when Keanu chases Patrick through the burroughs that's a real pitbull Swayze throws at Reeves.

The sky-diving scenes are the best ever and is probably why this movie will be remembered. Yes, that's the actors actually sky-diving.

I've noticed that every time this movie is on T.V., I have to watch it. It's my "Catcher in The Rye" (watch "Conspiracy Theory" to figure out that reference).

Sure, it gets cheesy after the first fifty times you watch it, but "Point Break" leaves you wanting to watch again and again.

Gotta go, "Point Break"'s on Encore again.
