MMORPG = Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

A great way to spend your leisure time, if paying a monthly subscription fee to spend hours and hours of your life increasing a few numbers stored on a server somewhere is your idea of "great". The role-playing part mostly consists of having arguments as to if it's appropriate for a 30th level High Elf to be named "Lolly Lollerskates".

And if you want to play online, there's an enormous number of free MUDs and MUCKs out there! I cheerfully admit to having been wasting time on FurryMUCK for the past eleven years now. It's entirely text-based, and it's free. It's almost as good as IRC for wasting time in chat. For some people, it's better!
