The Magic Christian

An episodic novel by Terry Southern about Guy Grand, a very rich man, who uses his money to pay for his own pranks on people, typically taking advantage of folks' pomposity and greed, although, sometimes just to have a larf. This was also made into a film starring Ringo Starr and Peter Sellers, but I've never seen it. The title comes from a cruise ship owned by Grand in the novel which goes on an absoluely awful cruise. A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, indeed.
