The Resistance Manifesto

A prime example of a modern-day conspiracy theorist who made himself famous. "Mark Dice" (a.k.a. John Conner – he claims the Terminator reference is unintentional) is one of those far-right political pundits who has made a career of appearing on talk shows, talk radio, and any media appearance he can finagle, so that he can portray himself as an expert at his areas of expertise. And what are these areas of expertise? All of the usual conspiracy theories – the Illuminati, the Bohemian Grove, the Skull and Bones Society, the September 11, 2001 attacks (a.k.a. the "9/11 truth movement"), and "Underground bases and tunnels." He makes a point of thrusting himself into media commentary as much as possible, to the point where conspiracy theorists look to him as an expert. This has brought a lot of activity to the message boards on his Web site, each of which is dedicated to these choice topics.

Although he claims the name "John Conner" is coincidental, there's still a strong link between this pen name and some of the claims he makes in his published book, The Resistance Manifesto. As he himself states:

"Mechanical hybrid Terminators are being manufactured by the Department of Defense. These hybrid 'living' computers will soon be more intelligent than humans. These systems include armed flying drones."

These "terminators" will be the mechanical army used by the Antichrist, when he rises to take his throne over the nations of the world in preparation for the End of Days. This ties in to his other favorite topic, the "Underground bases and tunnels." He claims:

"There are dozens of underground bases and tunnels in the United States with access given only to a select list of the elite. In this section, documented information on numerous proven bases and tunnels will be presented, along with information regarding the Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) which have created these elaborate underground fortresses. Most of the documented tunnels and bases are decades old, leading many to speculate on current projects."

This is the primary goal of The Resistance – to locate the secret underground cities, so that we can prevent the elite of society from hiding in them when the terminator armies of the Antichrist invade. Actually, this theory seems like an extension of the actual underground bases built during the Cold War, that were indeed meant to house government and corporate leaders in the event of a nuclear attack. Mark's statement that the age of these bases lead many "to speculate on current projects" seems to be double-speak for his own theories: "If they built those old bases back then, what are they building now?"
