God in 3 Persons

Rev. Syung Myung Me: I think that this was actually my first Residents album aside from the Our Tired, Our Poor, Our Huddled Masses collection. It's one of my favorites, though it's one of the most different. It's a long spoken-word piece about two Siamese Twins with healing powers and liquid gender, and their promoter/manager who falls in love with one. There's some really beautiful parts of it, and I recommend this album to everyone, Residents fan or no. And, hey, how many times do you get an album that incorporates themes from both the hymn "Holy Holy Holy" and "Double Shot (Of My Baby's Love)" by the Swingin' Medallions? There's a 2 CD version that combines both the standard version of the album with the Instrumental "Soundtrack" release – it doesn't really matter if you get this or the standard album; both versions are good, and the Instrumental release is pretty cool, too, but for me, the story is where it's at. This album is SO Essential.
