Orbs

With the advent of digital photography, a new item has been added to the kookverse: orbs.

Orbs are believed to be many things, but the one thing kooks do not believe they are is particulate matter being illuminated and picked up by the non-chemical photographic process.

To be honest, it's a bit of a mystery why digital cameras pick dust up so well (though later models do seem to have reduced the effect), but it certainly is not the dead or inter-dimensional beings being recorded - which is a pity, really.
