From the Pet Shop Boys' album Nightlife (and, oddly enough, not the song with the longest title on that record – that's "I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Anymore"). Nightlife came out in 1999, and it's a really strong album, and this is one of the best tracks on it (along with the other long-titled song – not sure if there's a connection…). However, one weird thing with this song, and the album in general – the Pet Shop Boys were into using more slang on this album than they typically did, so it sounds a little strange when Neil Tennant sings lines like "It's the bomb" (in "New York City Boy") or "You should be kissing him instead of dissing him like a punk" in this one. It's almost like hearing your Dad talking like that… providing your dad is a middle-aged, dapper, gay, British man. Still, though, it's a great song, and well, great album, really.
