Universal Zulu Nation

www.zulunation.com

Zulu Nation is one of those eponymous communities where anyone can declare themselves a member, though they do also have an application for membership that you can fill out. It follows in the footsteps of John Lennon's "Nutopia" from his Mind Games album, in that it preaches love, peace, and equality for all and freedom from slavery. As their message to all comers states:

"We, the Universal Zulu Nation are an organization and a universal nation, for all people on this planet so called Earth, as well for alien life form of people in the universe, whether your [sic] from Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Earth, etc. We the Zulu's are not foolish people to believe that we are the only life in the universe and that the creator, (Allah, Jehovah, Jah, Yahweh, God or which ever name you wish to call the Almighty One) is only limited to producing LIFE only on the planet so called Earth. And if you do believe we are the only ones in the universe, then we should just get rid of science and base everything on falsehood and not even search for truth."

This group has declared themselves a virtual nation, one that follows "international law" but is not subject specifically to the laws of the United States. (Law enforcement authorities would disagree with this, however; in fact, a few people affiliated with Zulu Nation have been arrested for doing stupid things and then claiming "diplomatic immunity.") Much of their philosophy comes from hip-hop music, and their list of Famous People includes a number of underground DJs and funk musicians. However, they don't place much emphasis on politics, instead prefering the "we are all citizens of the world" approach to things.

They're also heavy into UFOs and the existence of life elsewhere in the Universe. Their links page gives prominent mention of David Icke along with a bunch of hipsters. At the same time, they also focus on ancient Egypt and the connections between Egyptian history, African history, and extraterrestrials.
