Steganography is a useful form of encryption that allows you to hide your secrets inside something else, as a form of camoflage. Within the past couple of years, this form of cryptography has been developed for use on the Net, resulting in programs like STEGO and S-Tools. STEGO is a great encryption utility that allows you to hide a file within a picture file, such as a .gif or a .jpg. Imagine - some of those pictures passing back and forth on JUST MIGHT contain files hidden inside…but no one can tell except the ones who use STEGO! STEGO is designed for users of the Mac, while a plethora of stego tools are available for Windows.
