Modemac, for the first two months of this year your newsblog contains the phrase "kiddie porn" sixteen times, and some form of the word "pedophile" eleven times. And yet on your "Honorary Subgenii" page there is this statement: "Too much media attention is being given to 'pedophiles' and 'child molesters' on the Internet, when that coverage should go to far more worthy topics - such as [The Gay Youth Forum]." If you think too much attention is going towards stories of pedophilia on the net, then why the constant emphasis on these stories?

Please compare this to the number of stories that use "banned," "censor," "Islam," "pagan," "Christian," and see how that compares.

Actually, I've been cutting back on the posting of news stories about pedophiles, especially because of the impression it gives that I have an obsession with the topic. But as far as stupidity in the news goes, this subject just seems to crop up again and again. I mean, not too long ago they sentenced a guy to 800 (that's eight hundred) years in prison for molesting kids. Geez, I'm glad they weren't lenient on him and only sentenced him to life! Are they going to take his corpse and stick it in a cell to serve the remainder of his sentence?

And it always seems to have to do with child molesters…you just don't see this kind of idiocy when you read about drug dealers who sell crack to kids.

Believe me, I'm not a pedophile, and I like to think I'm not coming to the defense of scum buckets who go after kids. (In fact, I'll challenge anyone to point out an instance where I have "defended pedophiles.") It's just that this subject itself is so stupid, so idiotic, and so fraught with unbelievable bullshit – on BOTH sides of the argument – that it's easy for people to just use the excuse "oh, we're Protecting The Children from pedophiles" as a way to brush it all aside, and not think about the way some people's lives are being ruined in all of this hysteria.

It hasn't only happened to some unknown Pinks, either – it's happened to SubGenii. They tried it with Rev. Magdalen, lest we forget: "…they have orgies and they have children present." It happened with Rev. Pee Wee Herman and his "vintage erotica" collection.

First, regarding your previous comment: there is a Talk page link at the bottom of every page on this wiki. And for the RSS, this is the best I can do with this wiki engine. I have to use a Perl-based wiki because my Web host doesn't allow PHP unless I pay for higher access. C'est la vie.
