First report: scientology. And first report of a series to come. McShame was at the parliament together with a whole horde of lawyers and professors and what not. Only one of them was identified, Brian Wilson, British professor of sociology. Anyone knows where? McShame was interviewed. He repeated once again what they all have been repeating all the time. "Freedom of religion, blah, has to be taken step by step, blah". They are here to lobby. The head of the office of the Chamber, Tom Thyblad, was also interviewed. He said "They think that copyright law is supreme to the constitution". This man has a brilliant way of saying very much with very few words. Lobbying is not done in this way in this country. It is much more discreet and it always concerns particular issues such as certain tax or business regulation or the closing of a school or something. Never have I heard that there has been direct, agressive, lobying not suggesting but demanding *the change of the constitution*! The scienos are surpassing themselves. Anyway, McShame said that they will go on until the NOTs are away from the parliament (according to the present law that is equivalent to forever - period). So stay tuned to ars for more entertainment. Tomorrow, my turn on the TV news. Swedish and neighbouring arsers, TV4 19.30. Z --- oracle@everywhere: The ephemeral source of the eternal truth...
