I threatened him with a report to the bar association. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to report him. I learned from the TV 4 news on Thursday that some recipients of these letters had already reported him. The story of the threatening letters was also reported on national radio news. The TV 4 news inteviewed Tom Thyblad, chief of the parliament's office of the chamber, whose name most arsers are by now quite familiar with. Thyblad criticized Magnusson's letters in very strong terms and advised the public to make their NOTs requests anonymously. The people of the parliament have been subjected to a really great deal of shit from the CoS, ranging from fax bombs through daily visits through agressive letters to delegations of "international experts". They have put up with it and they have not given one inch of way to the pressure. I think that they deserve recognition. Yes, all what the parliament has done has been strictly according to the law and their damn duty to do. But still, the circumstances are extraordinary and these people have been under a lot of strain. They deserve to be told that their integrity is noticed and appreciated; they deserve to see something else than fax bombs accusing them of being criminals. So, all of you that at some time or other have offered to help me, now I ask you to do something: send flowers to the Swedish parliament. Tell them that they are your heroes. Give them some positive feedback. Encourage the good work they are doing. Do it in a way that does not further increase their burden: - Do not write/fax/e-mail beside the message that goes with the flowers. That would force them to protocol the communication and reply to it, creating more work for them. - Do it anonymously if you're Swedish, or just stating your name but not your address if you're non-Swedish. This way they won't have to figure whether accepting your flowers could put them in a position of bias. To accomplish this you must make a special note when ordering, that your particulars are not to be disclosed to the recipient of the flowers. Send your flowers to: Sveriges riksdag kammarkansliet Riksgatan 1 Stockholm (this is the street address, not to be used for correspondence). Attach a message telling them that the flowers are a token of your appreciation of their integrity etc in the scieno fight. Mention that you wish no reply. Swedish arsers, use the form at http://www.blommogram.se/1/bestallning.html for your orders, or visit your nearest florist. US-arsers, go to https://www.flowerlink.com/html/ftd/international/sweden/ordsweden.html or visit your nearest florist. Other arsers, do a search for "interflora" and "fleurop", or - yes, I know you guessed it - visit your nearest florist. In this context I must mention that also the Chancellor of Justice, the Department of Justice and the administrative section of the primary court of Stockholm have had their fair share of CoS-shit and also deserve appreciation. The heat has though mainly hit the parliament, which is why I focus on it. If you wish to divert your flowers to one of the other authorities, look up their addresses at http://www.wineasy.se/weesp/flowers.htm Z --- oracle@everywhere: The ephemeral source of the eternal truth...
